I am getting much better using Autodesk 3DS Max. Recently during class I had a few assignments to complete using this software. For example, one of the assignments was to make a pencil, for which I used the shape tools and combined them to make the pencil. The shapes I used to make this pencil were cone, cylinder, and torus. The next assignment was to make a tank, for which there was a totally different way to create it. I had to make the tank with one shape. which was a 3D box. It was kind of challenging at first but later it got a little easier
Here are some tools and sources I recently learned more about:

During class I began to learn about using modifiers in Autodesk 3DS Max. Modifiers are tools that can change the shape in any direction. The past week I was assigned to make one of these 3 objects, a robot, a lamp, or a 19 century gas lamp. I decided to make a lamp for this project. I made the lamp using 5 primitives and 5 modifiers. Here are the 5 modifiers i used to create this project:
Recently during this class, we were through with editing and using Premier Pro. This past week we learned about "Cartesian Coordinates". Cartesian Coordinates are numbers that indicate the location of a point relative to a fixed reference point. This subject is a topic you can also learn from math class. To understand Cartesian Coordinates we did an assignment that we, the class, transformed coordinates from one quadrant to another using Photoshop or Illustrator. There are 2 rotations to transform a shape with its coordinates, clockwise and counter clockwise. Here are the features of the Cartesian graph:
If you want to learn more about Autodesk 3ds Max, here is a website: Autodesk 3Ds Max In this class, we are still learning about video editing. The past week we were making a video about a topic related to school problems like bullying, and other conflicts happening around schools. My group did a gun control video. First we began with the storyboard process, first we wrote a script, then we drew our logo, which we called B-Arms, which is a gun control association. After a few days we chose a place to do our filming process and to show what our topic is explaining. Here are the Production steps we did to accomplish our project.
For more information about the production process, here is a resource to look at http://www.thevideoeffect.tv/2013/06/26/video-pre-production-and-post-production/ Basically in this class I learned how to use Premier Pro properly and how to make a video look interesting, for the recent assignment i was given, my job was supposed to make a video using free downloaded videos and music from a website called videezy, and bensound. my project had to be 20 seconds long and using 5 videos. My topic for this project was about soccer and exercising everyday. This project approximately took me about 3-5 days to finish this project.
Before we learned more about Premier Pro. we learned about 10 types of photo shots that are used in photography and filming. These types of photos are used to make a photo, or a acting scene, very interesting. These types of photos are listed below with their definition.
Types of Photo shots In the past week, I stopped using Adobe Illustrator and moved on to the next level, Adobe Premier Pro. This software is a brilliant source for video editing and creating a video of your own. This recent week I am learning how to make a 15 second video by downloading pictures with color intensity. For this project I am using the color yellow and I chose this color is because it makes you feel like there is a calm setting in the photo, almost peaceful. For example. a photo with a sunset background can make the viewer have a relaxing feeling. Premier Pro has different features than Illustrator and Photoshop. This software has a timeline, which allows you to put pictures or downloaded videos on the video setup. There is also the “files window”, which allows you to see all your downloaded photos and videos that are used in the timeline. All you have to do is click and drag the downloaded picture to the timeline window. The best reasons why I like using Premier Pro because:
1 You can create your very own video 2 You can use downloaded music with your video 3 You can put these videos into Youtube For more information, if you want to learn more, here is a resource About Premier Pro In this past week, we began learning about video editing, film and photography. The first topic I learned about is cameras, there are 3 types of cameras that were introduced:
Consumer cameras are cameras that is really used by beginner photographers, they show the basics in a easier way. they are lighter than the other 2 types of cameras. they cost around 200-800 dollars. -Prosumer Cameras: Prosumer cameras are cameras used by experienced photographers, they are a little heavier than the consumer cameras and are also advanced cameras. These cost around 800-1200 dollars. -DSLR Cameras: DSLR cameras are a huge deal in photography, they are cameras that are used for really professional photographers. These super advanced cameras are really heavy than the other two cameras. and they cost thousands of dollars depending on where you get them. -What these 3 cameras have in common? What these cameras have in common is the exposure of photographs, they change the light of the photo and the fade in the background of the photo. For more info about the 3 cameras, this link will give all the information The 3 Types of Cameras In the past 2 weeks, we learned about new tools like the pen tool, the type tool, the align tool, and more interesting tools to use. Many projects were representing these tools like creating a postcard, and making the cheeseburger in paradise.
2 weeks ago, the Scientific Visualization class recently learned about Above Illustrator fundamentals and how to use it properly. The first few days we learned about the pen tool and the type tool, using these skills, we did some practices by making a slice of pizza, the Hulk, and recently now working on a cheeseburger
